Kenzo Takada collaborates with MASUNAGA, a leading Japanese eyewear manufacture. MASUNAGA designed by Kenzo Takada sunglasses and optical frames combine vintage inspired elements with fashion forward contemporary design. Delicate engraving on the bridge, the bar and the temples are reminiscent of 1920’s jewelry details. The original rim is designed with the star motif from MASUNAGA GMS and Kenzo Takada’s family emblem Campanule flower.


ISSEY MIYAKE is embarking on the ISSEY MIYAKE EYES PROJECT to showcase a new eyewear series. The essential design points are: being basic; paying attention to detail for their quality and dignity, and being loved for years to come. It is these fundamental and evident elements for making products that ISSEY MIYAKE carefully strives to establish the standard for tomorrow. And what is required to achieve it is assured skills and an accumulated experience. We are pleased to announce that a prominent Japanese eyewear manufacturer KANEKO OPTICAL identifies with our vision and has agreed to work with us on the new project. Through this collaboration, the project has evolved and we will present the “beauty of use”, bringing zest and zeal to people’s daily lives.


KANEKO OPTICAL Company was founded in 1958 as an eyewear wholesaler. Currently, KANEKO OPTICAL engages in planning, designing, and selling of eyewear, mainly our original brand, and holds the largest share in the Japanese eyewear market as an eyewear trend leader. Additionally, we have generated a stronger growth in the apparel field, as we collaborate with the latest fashion apparel companies and major apparel manufacturers.

999.9 (Four Nines) is a brand established in September 1995, as a pure domestic eyeglasses frame brand.

Since eyeglasses are items placed on our faces; a delicate part of our body, our eyeglasses frames are designed under consideration of Japanese' facial characteristics.

As you may have had experienced, wearing eyeglasses out of size is painful and stressful.

Therefore, Four Nines aims to provide eyeglasses frames which would retrieve people from those stresses.

Moreover, Four Nines aims to provide people with eyeglasses frames delighted to be worn.

In 1963, Mr. Ido trained as an eyeglasses craftsman under his father’s supervision for the following 10 years. Since then, he has continued to make eyeglasses, and is doing every single complicated process by himself. His outstanding skill reaches to the traditional method of production which is rarely seen today. Delicately graceful work done by Mr. Ido gives his frame an elegant atmosphere.

Mr. Gentleman Eyewear was founded by the founder Toshiyuki Koune in 2012 in Japan. Toshiyuki Koune operates a luxury eyewear store and was already successful, but his talents were also demonstrated in product design. What Mr. Gentleman Eyewear attaches the utmost importance to in manufacturing is the pursuit of high-quality products. It is a fusion of high-quality feeling and hanging comfort by paying attention to small parts and the accuracy of plating processing. Even in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, where glasses are produced in Japan, there are only a few factories that can make this a reality, and we focus our manufacturing on those top factories.
